About

Jack Williams is an English xylographer, based in Suffolk.

His interest in history forms a core theme within his work, having created prints which explore the Great Arab Revolt, the Tokugawa Shogunate, and the Third Crusade. His use of history is accompanied by ideas seen in mythology, allowing the historic subject matter to be reinterpreted to create work which values visuals over strict historical accuracy.

His work has been exhibited at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, Ipswich Printweek, and the Sudbury Arts Centre.
