This pair of woodcut prints are based on the final fateful encounter between King Arthur and Sir Mordred. These prints have been created in the Japanese mokuhanga style. Each print is created from 3 separately carved woodblocks, with a total of four impressions per print - the armour is printed twice, once with colour, and then a second time with a metallic pigment.
Winsor & Newton gouache on Awagami Okawara Select 51gsm
Each print measures approximately 13cm x 21cm
Open Edition
These designs were carved from three blocks each, one block of Japanese Katsura and two blocks of Shina ply.
My woodcut prints are all handmade, crafted with traditional processes. This means that each print is unique, and therefore the print you receive will not be the exact one shown in the photograph.
