This woodcut print depicts a camelry charge of Bedouin soldiers during the Great Arab Revolt, a World War I campaign made famous by the film Lawrence of Arabia (1962). The carving process alone took 75 hours to complete.

The black ink version of this print has been exhibited at Ipswich Printweek 2023 and The Minories Summer Open Exhibition 2024. The brown ink version of this print was exhibited at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair 2023.

Black ink version:
Cranfield oil-based ink on Cream Arches Velin 250gsm
Approx. 53x38cm
Edition of 10

Brown ink version:
Cranfield oil-based ink on ahar paper
Approx. 61x46cm
Edition of 5

I have one black ink version in a thin black wood frame. The frame measures roughly 55.5x42.5cm, the picture is behind glass. The frame has both mirror plates and d-rings attached - you can easily remove the fittings you do not require.

This design was carved into a block of Birch ply.

My woodcut prints are all handmade, crafted with traditional processes. This means that each print is unique, and therefore the print you receive will not be the exact one shown in the photograph.
